NSMXC announces marshal plan to continue value for money pledge to its members.

02 February 2010

We provided marshals for all rounds of the Mepal series that we paid for out of the money taken from the event. Whilst our selection of tracks for 2010 and membership figures so far suggest a good year for the club, we cannot commit to providing such a service at every event from the clubs funds.

We would like to try to approach this at a different angle by offering racers a different choice.

If you enter a club championship event with NSMXC and have someone that can marshal for us for the day you will ride for free. No hidden charge, nothing. We simply ask that you provide a marshal and we provide the chance to race.

If you provide someone to marshal for half of a day, we will let you ride for half price.

Those wishing to take up this offer will be asked to provide contact details for you or your marshal prior to the event at the point of booking in. We will take names on a first come, first served basis and stop taking them once we have enough. Please only put forward reliable people that are going to turn up and do the job, if your marshal drops out, it will be YOUR responsibility to find a replacement.

If we have enough people come forward to do this, we will then be able to offer all others the chance to ride for the normal fee without providing a marshal.

The online booking in process will be amended to account for this and details will also be taken from those that choose to call to enter. We hope that this idea will be a popular one, we will trial it for the first few championship events and review it as we go.

More on this at a later date...
